of Conduct for Managers and Coaches
Within the code, Managers will be
responsible for ensuring that...
1. Player’s contacts are informed of training
times and venues
2. Player’s contacts are informed of selection for matches
3. Training is provided for all members in their age group, structured
around basic ball techniques and skill
4. The behaviour of children and adults is acceptable whilst they are
representing Eastbourne Town Football Club.
5. Children register their membership with the club prior to playing any
matches
6. Any misconduct or unacceptable behaviour by children or adults is
reported to the Committee in the first instance.
7. Club kits, training equipment issued to them and other assets used,
are properly cared and accounted for.
8. All moneys are collected at matches are passed onto the treasurer or
their representative.
9. Their teams abide by all rules of leagues or competitions in which
they compete
10. The Club's committee receive the support of managers and coaches in
a similar manner to which they will always expect support themselves
11. They abide by the club's Age Group Structure Policy as agreed by the
Committee.
12. No approach is made to a child or their parents of another team
squad with the aim of discussing a transfer to another squad within
Eastbourne Town FC without first speaking with that squad's manager
first.
13. The Club does not incur fines exceeding £20 per season for their
squad as a result of their own lack of diligence in dealing with
registrations, match return cards and matters relating to the running of
their squad.
14. No manager or Coach shall be abusive or seem to be abusive to match
officials and no Manager or Coach should ever question the decision of a
match official.
Neither managers nor their coaches shall...
1. Allow themselves to become in a single adult/child situation that
could conceivably lead to an allegation of improper behaviour
2. Appoint other helpers in contact with the children without
consultation with the Committee
3. Other than for routine matters, hold meetings with parents without
proper notice to the committee
